Daniel Mercer

Born in Oklahoma, Mercer grew up surrounded by family stories, regional traditions, and the vast landscapes of the Great Plains. After studying fine arts, he traveled throughout the American West, documenting ranches, rodeos, historic towns, and the people who continue to shape its identity.

Mercer draws inspiration from working cowboys, Native American heritage, weathered barns, roaming horses, and the changing light across open country. Through layered color and expressive brushwork, he portrays the West as a living culture shaped by resilience, freedom, and a deep connection to the land.
